When Social Media Took Over the World
So, most of you know about Facebook, MySpace and maybe Digg. However, what you don’t know is that there are hundreds of other social networking sites out there that you know next to nothing about. Still interested? Then read on.
For example, Facebook and MySpace are the monsters in the US, but their role in places like the UK and Japan is much more minimal. So who are these other sites?
There are hundreds of them, but I thought it might be interesting to do a little series that brings them together for you.
We’ll start out looking at England, Japan, America, China and Central America. We’ll continue examining different countries intermittently, though this will be a long process that’s in flux all the time, so feel free to put in your two cents.
I’ll be looking at the top 5 social networking sites for each country, with a rundown on each ones stats. While this info is available other places, I’d like to share the exploratory process with you and share as much info with you as possible.
