To some it might; to others, not so much. When Adobe and Google announced a new arrangement June to allow Shockwave Flash Files to be indexed and read by Google, many shouted with joy, some said whatever and others were in “lets wait and see” phase.
I happen to be mixture of all three. While I think its great that its now possible for Google to index flash pages (there is A LOT of material out there that is flash-based and hasn’t been indexed by Google until recently), all is not perfect in the search engine indexing wars.
For one, not all flash files will be indexed, nor will everything inside the flash file. We have yet to see how Google determines what flash files to index and how in-depth the spiders go, but the little details above give us some ideas about what’s churning in Google’s head, as well as Yahoos.
Yep, Yahoo is the third member of this threesome, which is quite obviously snubbing Microsoft (Can anyone say Silverlight? *cough*)
